Hold the Galaxy, or Have an Apple?

In the world of cellular technology there are two types of people, Apple users and Android users. Both Types of cell phones are constantly being compared to one another, but which is really better? A phone is what will always be on you and act as a status symbol, so when deciding on what type of phone to get, consider these few things. The phone should contain a lot of memory, maintain a certain level of durability, have a long lasting charge, an amazing camera and a great display. When comparing the devices, only the most recent models could be used. The S8+ from Samsung released in April, preceding the iPhone 8 plus by 5 months, is an amazing example of a great phone.

The Samsung Galaxy S8+ has almost every feature that is needed for a quality cell phone and has great ratings in each spot of necessity. The Galaxy has four gigabytes of read access memory and 64 gigabytes of overall memory. This means enough room for documents, games and social media apps. The latest Galaxy’s camera’s has also been improved, with its front camera built with a field of view of 80 and capable of a wider image. The real prize however is the rear camera, with dual pixel 12MP AF and an advanced OIS (Optical, image, stabilizer). Along with fantastic camera performance its overall performance gives it a Michelin star in the phone industry.

A 64 bit 10 nm processor supports the phone’s motor and agility with tasks, which is then supported by its Octa Core. It has a 6.2 Retina HD display powered by a USB C fast charging powermat and can last hours on end. The Galaxy’s Display is made with a very thick sheet of glass, making it very hard to break on hard surfaces. The S8 is made to last long amounts of time if it’s taken care of right. The Samsung is a marvelous piece of technology that will hopefully never be cancelled or chased away by it’s awfully matched rival, the iPhone.

The iPhone in most cases (except fashion design) copies the Samsung in many ways of stability. The iPhone 8, while being the Galaxy’s rival, wins in a key factor of what a phone really should have. The iPhone’s charging capabilities go beyond the restrictions of a cord. While Samsung’s Galaxies can do the same, the charge on them is very slow compared to the charge of an iPhone. The iPhone has a built in rechargeable lithium battery, making it capable of up to 14 hours of call time, 12 hours of internet use and 40 hours of audio playback.

The iPhone 8 plus is slick and smooth, looking very professional and has a scratch proof exterior helping it in durability. However its screen does not have the same effect, being fragile. The camera is also a win for Apple’s iPhone, its A11 bionic chip, gives it a much better and clearer view of taken photos. It has panorama up to 63 mp and it contains a six element lens. Its memory is matched with Galaxy’s having the same amount of usable memory for its user.

In the final review of each product, it is hard to tell who wins. Those who like the smooth and professionals view of iPhone’s square build and those who like the smooth and curved edges of the S8+ will have to part ways. When the stats of the Galaxy and iPhone are compared, the Samsung really stands out as victor, with many more advantages than the iPhone.
