Rainbow
by Kesha
On July 6th, 2017, Kesha broke her silence and dropped a song called “Praying” then releasing one more song after that called “Hymn” before her album was out. August 11, 2017 the album Rainbow was released. Kesha’s sound has completely shifted into beautiful alternative music. Her song “Rainbow,” is telling her story to us with a symphony of sounds and her voice. She had said that the album had “saved her life.” In the beginning of her song “Praying” her dialogue reflects her past mistakes and their effects, a beautiful piano joins her while she sings the song. Her album is composed of many different intricate sounds that are unique to each and every song in the album.

The Aviary
by Galantis
The Swedish duo dance music group, Galantis, released their second album “The Aviary” on September 15th, 2017. Galantis holds the electronic dance sound in their hands with catchy tunes and lyrics to make you dance. “Salvage (Up All Night) ft. Poo Bear,” has a catchy beat and lyrics to compliment the sound that’ll get stuck in your head, and electro-pop beats between every lyric. “Written In The Scars ft. Wrabel,” shows off a calm flow throughout the song with occasional upbeats that quickly fade. “Call Me Home” will have you totally hooked, with intricate sounds all jumbled up with a beat the song is awesome. Galantis proved their music is always a good time when playing through your ears.
