The Book Of Bright Ideas

Written by Sandra Kring, this book is based in 1961. Evelyn Peters, or “Button” for short, lives in a small town surrounded by her family. It was summer and she was nine years old when Winnalee and her independent and head strong older sister Freeda Malone came through their small town like a tornado. The story takes you through all the wonderful changes Freeda and Winnalee make, such as helping Button and her family understand who they really are and never to be ashamed of that. This book is inspiring, adorable, and a you’ll never want to put it down.

Go Set A Watchman

Harper Lee continues her past story, this time set when Jean Louis Finch is twenty-six years old. It’s about her troubles with puberty, the positives and negatives of growing up, and learning how to be a woman. As some of us already know from the first book, To Kill A Mockingbird, becoming a woman is an unwanted task. But according to her Aunt Alexandra, it is very necessary. Jean Louis, or “Scout”, finds out what it means to fall in love and enjoys the good and braves the bad of adulthood. Harper executes a belly laughing, tear jerking, exciting story that all will enjoy.
