Boy's Varsity Soccer January Update

Boys playing against Clayton Valley on Jan. 6

The boy’s varsity soccer team plays College Park here tonight at 7 p.m. Make sure you look out for players in your grade. There is a great mix of seniors, juniors, and sophomores on this year’s team.

The team so far has shown great leadership, toughness, and teamwork.

“We have a very skilled and mentally tough team this year,” said senior Grant Darling. “I feel closer to the team mates; I know them more from school,” said junior Parsa Majbuleh.

Currently, the Knight’s record for the season is 8-4-1 and College Park’s is 7-3-3.

It’s been a busy week for the Knights. They had a game on Monday against Tennyson at Tennyson High School, and lost 2-1, and then they had a game against Ygnacio Valley at Ygnacio Valley High School on Wednesday and won 4-3.

This was a very important win for the guys. In fact, this win got them back a chance to compete in NCS. “Our biggest accomplishment so far was beating Ygnacio Valley 4-3,” said Darling, “My team has a very good chance of getting into NCS.”

Other home games to look out for are on Jan. 16 against Kennedy, Jan. 28 against Alameda, Feb. 1 against Ygnacio Valley, Feb. 8 against Northgate, and Feb. 10 against Campolindo.
